In the spring of the same year, this river was raging and unstoppable. With the winter's cold clutches the Mighty Merced is harnessed until next spring when it will once again burst forth with energy. 

This shot was taken by walking out on to the river ever so gingerly. This is the Merced looking towards Moraine domes.
