On this December morning Yosemite was in a half-hearted winter mood. Snow was no where to be found. With patches of ice on the trail and frost in the air, you find yourself in the middle of a surreal wilderness transition. Yosemite was on the verge of breaking into full winter conditions. 

This photo was taken while being perched upon a rock in some frozen creek on the way to the trail head.
