| The bugs in the area didn't really give me much of a choice. They were out in force and if you stopped for just a few minutes, they swarmed and fed without mercy. You couldn't stop to rest very long before it was absolutely necessary to move on. The heart rate remained high through much of the trip. So, except for lunch, there were no long term rest breaks for the entire nine miles of the trip. Standing rest breaks were taken only to catch my breath. | ||
