The first one in our patrol to climb this route above Fleming lake. This was a top rope climb. There were no anchors in our route.

Fifth Day: Today is the day we get vertical. Literally. No gentle rolling slopes here. In fact, one route selected by our instructor was inverted. 

A full day of rock climbing is in order after we learn about mountaineering techniques and the use of knots, harnesses, münter hitches, belay, and so on. Today was a very technical day packed with instruction. The type of information gathered today is what you take with you for your own mountaineering trips.
