Mt. Lowe, Angeles National Forest
Of Mind, Spirit, and Strength

The upper reaches of Southern California

On the way down I had a couple of hours to think alone as I dropped back from the group. For a while there, it was oblivion. The jarring pain of descent would come and go as personal anxieties were worked out. With some prayer and retrospect came clarity and new questions.

It's nice to walk in the cool mountain air when dusk begins to settle. There's a peace about it. There's the sunset before you and the hope of a new horizon.
