| Saying so long... This outing has taken us through a series of lakes up to the top of an alpine lake. The magnificence of the area brings renewal once again. But even as we leave, it seems that I am washed clean. Wading through the steams, feeling the water move through me and around me brings new energy. A baptism in the Sierra. The meaning of Little Lakes Valley and Chickenfoot lake will remain with me for years to come. That feeling I had kneeling down with hands and knees into that cold rushing brook will never be forgotten. |
