| Not more than an hour later, we were being pelted by hail. We were getting drenched and the lightning appeared to be moving to our left and striking in shorter intervals. We figured we can always give it a try maybe another day. The storm just added to a funk we were already in. Making the decision to abandon our trip to Kearsarge Pinnacles was the right thing to do. Looking back that evening from highway 395 up to this area, I was relieved we were not up in that tempest. | ||
