| Fire Service Road 1N16 into Gibbs Canyon; Ansel Adams Wilderness. Here we were on this early Sierra morning. Three Sierra souls converge at an intersection of highway 395 and an old dirt road just below Lee Vining. With windows rolled down and the music going, we pull up to say hello and engage in small talk. Snow Nymph leads out in her 4WD at a pretty good clip. I pop the clutch and the dust begins to fly. As we race up the old dirt road, it felt great to be alive. We were heading for our Sierra home away from home. |
